KATE has often been described as a pint-sized chatterbox. She is well known for telling a story via many MANY tangents - so strap in & concentrate if you ask her a question - she'll get back on track eventually! Kate is now raising a little chatterbox of her own - Jessica Paige - who is showing early signs of sharing mum's energy & mischievousness and aside from talking & teaching Kate has a passion for Argentine Tango, good food & travel - her best memories of which are with KaSo's own Sophie her best friend of 19 years. But what happens on tour... jejeje

Kate’s experience in education informs KaSo’s teaching and learning ethos. She is responsible for ensuring that the studio is perpetually striving to deliver exceptional quality teaching.

Kate is a qualified secondary school Dance Teacher and previously Head of Department. Her passion for Dance and Theatre started aged 5 and she has studied a wide range of techniques to advanced level including Ballet, (ISTD and RAD syllabi) Tap, Jazz (ISTD) and Contemporary. She holds the Central YMCA Level 2 Certificate in ‘Exercise to Music’ Fitness Instruction, CYQ Level 3 Award in Adapting Exercise for the Independent Older Adult and her BuggyFit Licence.

She diversified at University and completed a degree in Drama and she has spent more than 8 years in secondary education, during which time she has turned around departments in inner city London Schools by improving A Level and GCSE results and revolutionising teaching practices.

SOPHIE is best known for her love for meat (ideally on a bone - her mum gave her chicken bones to knaw on as a babe when she was teething). Funnily enough, she and her brother were once the faces of the NSPCC!

Sophie’s dance studies started age 3, embracing Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz and Greek. She trained intensively with the Birmingham Royal Ballet and in schools in both London and Buckinghamshire. Sophie achieved a first class honours degree in Dance Studies from the University of Surrey, Roehampton and also holds the Central YMCA Level 2 Certificate in ‘Exercise to Music’ Fitness Instruction.

A keen choreographer, she loves a cheeky bit of Musical Theatre and contemporary, and has enjoyed tackling an array of projects - from choreographing full scale musicals in 10 days with 250 young people, to devising intimate pieces for cabaret troupes at music and theatre festivals.

In her twenties, Sophie developed her professional theatre experience working for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group, managing theatres in the West End, including the New London Theatre on Drury Lane and the Apollo and Lyric Theatres, Shaftesbury Avenue. Her passion is for all things customer service when it comes to KaSo and helping to keep people happy and healthy is top of her list.

LIZZIE loves teaching people of all ages and as a qualified Wright Foundation GP Referral specialist, she is helping to ensure that KaSoTonic is designed and delivered safely and effectively as well as consulting on individual cases where required.

She has trained in dancing and singing since the age of 4 and is currently teaching in many of the best schools in the area. At the age of 16, Lizzie was awarded a 3 year scholarship to the Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, where her training continued to include RADA examinations. Since then she has accumulated more qualifications than we can list here and as a perpetual studier we just adore her better yourself and hard work ethics.

She also has a background in singing and music, having been a lead singer and song writer in a London-based band and a lead violinist in various orchestras.

NIKKI started dancing at the ripe old age of 11 and followed the BATD syllabus which has inspired us to take it on in KaSo. She started assisting her teachers very quickly afterwards and started looking after classes herself at just 15!

Her first love has always been tap dancing, but when it comes to Nikki, you'll find her trying anything from Piloga to Fight Club to Irish Dancing to Majorettes. She thinks you're never too old to try something new, and we agree.

Nikki started with KaSo initially as a client, she fell in love with KaSoTonic and the rest is history. She now teaches children's classes on a Saturday morning and her happiest times are seeing each individual child grow and develop through Dance. In the week (once she has escaped from her full time office job) you'll find her in KST and Zumba classes on regular occasions with the odd ballet class thrown in for good measure!

Did you know, Nikki hates cotton wool and can only touch it with wet hands!!!

GAVIN - better known as Gav, Gavlar or The Hairy Presenter, not only does he look after all things KaSoTonic Gent and GentLe, he also takes care of the communications and sales side of KaSo.

A mad rugby fan and player with Chinnor Rugby Club, as Gavin is now a qualified Exercise to Music Intructor - we all hold our breath on match days in the hope he doesn't get too smashed up and can still take class!

While Gav loves sports from doing Triathlons to frisbee and golf, he also loves to dance and takes Tap classes whenever he can. Did you know, Gav once appeared in a Robbie Williams music video? Blink and you'll miss him! Something Beautiful

VICKY joined the KaSo team last year when she qualified to be a Zumba and Exercise to music instructor. Having been a KaSo client herself, she couldn't think of anywhere she would rather use her skills than with the wonderful KaSo team.

Although Vicky is KaSo mad, she is also musical theatre trained and is lucky enough to be treading the boards alongside her teaching. She starred as Wendy in Peter Pan at the Cresset Theatre in Peterborough last December.

Feel free to check out her professional actress web page and give it a cheeky "like"

DID YOU KNOW that Vicky spent 7 months filming inside a Hoover for a re-make of a Children's TV classic? If you have little ones, you may have seen her hoovering skills on CBeebies.

ISABELLE has attended regular ballet, tap and modern classes from the age of 8, and the passion has continued to grow. She likes to keep herself busy: not only is she in the throes of preparing for dance exams in Advanced 2 Ballet, Tap and Modern, and Teaching exams in Ballet and Modern, Issy thought it would be a great idea to start learning to speak Polish (courtesy of the very patient staff at her local café).

Issy is the original fidget - and lives up to the infamous saying ‘Issy-busy’. With hiking being one of her passions, she has set herself the target of completing all the Wainwright routes (that’s getting to the top of each peak in the Lake District for non-hikers!) within 15 years... with 208/214 left to go she had better get cracking!

Isabelle loves nothing more than having a lazy Sunday breakfast out followed by a walk and freshly baked scone and pot of tea (or two!) at one of the local National Trust manors or after a woodland walk; with her patient other half in tow!

Her other passions include Hazelnut coffee, Truffle chocolate… any chocolate… make that anything sweet!

AND - she can swim one hundred 25m lengths in under an hour!
